COURSE FORMAT
​
The format used for all courses offered at Blytheville School of Cosmetology, will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following instructional technique: written material, printed textbook information, workbook assignments, written test, lectures, hands on demonstration, videos, audio, perform skills on clients, another student and/or manequin.
Instruction will be achieved through additional aids such as:
1. Guest Artists
2. Audio Visual
3. Style Shows
4. Product Knowledge Seminars
COURSE LENGTH
600 HOURS

As a licensed manicurist (nail technician), one can have an abundance of professional options, including working as an employee in a nail salon, full salon, or spa, working as a contractor in a salon or spa, or mobile salon services, salon and spa management, business management, and marketing! To be eligible for license as a manicurist in Arkansas, you must complete a nail technology program through a cosmetology school that is approved by the Department of Health and includes at least 600 hours of study. This will allow one to do cutting, polishing, filing, buffing, trimming, protecting, wrapping, covering, to give some examples.​
